Now that MST has become a moderator on Fulhamweb I guess things should improve there. Given he was the main instigator is this site finished? Will Geezer return to Fulhamweb and did the threat of competition work it's magic in forcing positive change on the Fulhamweb board?

It happened so quick. MST said I should help on Fulhamweb as I am registered as well, I posted that it would be fun to delete all those O's and that I would do it if they wanted a second one and before I knew it I have also entered the dark side as I said of MST. It would be a shame to lose this site, I remember LB 11 had something to do with it. MST said people just don't want to register but I don't remember anything much was asked.

He's right. A lot of people don't want to give up their email address but quite why I don't know. Perhaps they are afraid of getting spammed, but I have been registered with Fulhamweb almost since it's first appearance and have nevr had a problem. I used to be a moderator under the old, original format and I think I met James Brown in Australia when Fulham toured here but that may not be the case it may be mind playing tricks, only James can confirm if he was out here or not. I did offer to be a moderator on this site when they changed the format but never got a reply, I guess it was deemed unnecessary until recent times. I did have a lot of issues re-registering when the format changed but James was able to help me out eventually so perhaps it's not as easy as suggested for some people. Mandatory registering would sort out the Brentford/QPR fans that regularly infiltrate the board but would undoubtedly reduce the number of members (see this board) and I guess it is the amount of traffic that pays for it's upkeep so that is unlikely to happen.
Good luck with the moderators job, I confess I enjoyed having the power to delete dickheads and their dumb comments and foul language, but urge you both use the power correctly and Fulhamweb can return to what it once was, a place where like minded fans can discuss, albeit robustly, the trials and tribulations of following Fulham FC.
Cheers

You would remember someone who called himself Baron, he said he was from Iceland. His posts were always interesting, but then he started to get unfair abuse and stopped posting, this was years ago. I also think the guy that started Fulhamweb, you say his name is James Brown but I didn't know that, used to do the official site before Mo. I look at it most days during the season and would like it back the way it used to be, maybe the very fact it now has people able to moderate will stop it as those people know that they can now get deleted and will think to themselves that they cannot be bothered.

Hi both; I'm back! Heavy week away with work but dipped in and out of Fulhamweb to see that things have calmed down (for the maoment at least). Personally I intend to visit this board just as often as I always have and hope we can still grow it however, it is clear that if FW reverts to its former glory we will have difficulty attracting posters. Good or bad thing, I'm not sure? I'm really glad you decided to moderate Baz however, I still think we need at least one more (possibly two) to create a better balance. It's good to see some of the old posters start to return slowly as well; Cossey Mowle, Bishop, etc. I do remember Baron as well but can't see him returning as he hasn't posted for a couple of years at least.

Oh the power of seeing 'delete' written on every post and now every post is fine, I might have a fit and delete the lot, just a joke. Nothing to report. I also wish this site would take off but you (MST) have put it up on the board enough so if they don't want to post here I suppose there is no choice but to accept it.
