This site seems to have become a private little place for just a few to have a chat. I have only deleted one post on Fulhamweb and that was one of my own! You know how it can take a long time to load a reply and then if you hit post a second time it comes up twice, well I fell for that so deleted one of the two. I don't get any points for being bright eh. I thought I would be knocking out those silly posts that spoilt the site but I have not seen any. MST seemed keen but I know how he feels when you try to help and all you get silly moans. For myself I have sat in the Riverside enough times to get used to moaning (although plenty to moan about now of course). One more game and then dream it will all work out next season.

You just can't do right for doing wrong by some people Baz. I tried to be diligent and go in three or four times a day to delete what I thought might be offensive to others but it clearly wasn't working for some people so in all honesty I really do have better things to do with my time. I'm not throwing toys from my pram and I am old enough and ugly enough to know that you can't please all the people all the time but when some people think that you are doing things for self gratification it grates a bit so I thought it better to step down.

I am not surprised. Sadly even with the most even minded moderators FW has been infected by a bunch of moaning morons quite apart from the Brentford and QPR idiots. It's a thankless task trying to maintain a standard of discussion with a light touch. You are both doing a good job but there will always be a section who just don't get it. Registration would make a huge difference but as we have seen it's not an option. Sadly social media has imbued the masses with a voice, indignant that their views MUST always be heard regardless of it's content and language hiding like cowards behind made up "funny" names, sometimes replying to their own posts in an attempt to add some credence to their drivel.
This is one of the reasons I chose not to be a moderator this time around. I know myself well enough to know I would have been many times more critical and severe than either of you and would likely have created more problems than I sorted out!
As I speak I see that you MST, are still listed as a moderator. Is this your choice or slow actions by Admin? Perhaps they hoping you will change your mind...
I think the demise of FW is a direct parallel with the demise of Fulham FC as a club. I know I have in the past been vocal in my complaints about Magath and Symons but the current constatnt moaning is very wearing. I check the site infrequently now and have to bite my tongue before replying. It is noticeable how many of the old stagers have disappeared from the site. People like Fortess Fulham, Scrawnee and Keetch rarely post these days. Perhaps social media is the realm of the young upstart and "old farts" like me should just shuffle off and keep our noses out.
All in all it's a bid sad really so I hope we can meet here occasionally to discuss signings, teams and managers etc in a more reasonable atmosphere and in a more Fulham way of doings things... Hints

Well written Hints; sums up my thoughts pretty well. I have written to the admin team and left two or three posts but without action unfortunately. Regardless of the board owners actions I will still no longer moderate, my heart isn't in it to be honest.

I have a self imposed ban for myself on Fulhamweb until September. There are just too many knobs for my liking. I will be happy to discuss anything on this board if anyone feels the urge! Cheers Hints
